hawaii Craigslist scam? I was almost caught in this big scam with a "Home Owner", well i googled scams and the email that was sent to me was word for word off of the scam. Scary stuff. Well thank God I figured it out. It just sounded to good to be true! But now i don't know what to do. When i was contacting him through the email i gave my # to him(for him to contact me), and just little things that could/might harm me. How do I respond to him? What can I do to help find my brother's killer? My brother was killed on March 9th, 2007. He was a pedestrian walking when a truck drove from behind and killed him. The truck kept driving never stopping. They didn't even called 911. My brother died instantly. This was done in Hawaii where my brother was living at the time. The debre that was left behind at the scene tells the police that it was a Chevy truck of some sort between the years 99-02 and the color is blue. Hawaii police really aren't up to date with modern technology like California where I live. I have done everything that I possibly can think of to help find the killer. I've called radio stations, tv news channels, newspapers, wrote ads on the Hawaii craigslist, emailed; Dr.Phil, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Unsolved Mysteries, Court TV, Silvia Brown, and a pyschic detective ooh the FBI in Hawaii. Out of those I only got a response from the FBI who told me that the local police needs to contact them for help not me if they have forensic evidence and needs help. Help me!! Someone said that it was probley my brother's fault? How is that when the truck went out of it's way off the road to hit my brother? There is a reward out already. The Hawaii DMV is not up to date so they can't run anything as of yet... I have not contact any other pychic detective and in fact the one that I did contact told me to use her as the very last resort. We think that his X did it. There is much more details and not enough room to explain. I am just looking for advise on something that I haven't done or ideas to get me thinking. Help!!! Moving to Hawaii I think, I could really use advice. ? I know this will be a little long. But I will try and keep it short. I am 27. I live in Los Angeles, Hollywood. I like it here, love it mostly. But for the past 3 years or so, I have been very unhappy with my life, so I am looking for a temporary change to get me into a new mentality (yes I have tried therapy and drugs, no help! lol). Here is my situation: I have a decent job right now, with plenty of growth opportunity, pay is just ok, not great, but they are taking advantage of me. I know I will keep growing there, but I hate the management and I think that is why I am unhappy there, plus the commute is 80 miles per day. And extremely high stress. I want to work for myself again, but the ideas have been a bit slow lately. The ideas I have partialy pursued, my good research skills prove it to be a bad move, thankfully before I invest. But it doesn’t take away the let down feeling. I live in Hollywood, love my roommates, pay 1000 per month, not bad. I don’t have friends I hang out with daily. I am pretty much a loner (by choice, I want to break it). I always choose to be by myself, one of the reasons I want to try Hawaii, make new friends, relearn what it is like to enjoy peoples company. Pretty much been in a funk since my ex broke my heart 2 years ago. I don't want her back, but cant move on. Change of scenery will help. The main reason for not leaving, my family. I will miss them terribly. My mom, dad and brother. So here is my thinking, please tell me if I am nuts. 1. I don't have a girlfriend, wife, kids or financial responsibilities. I just made my last car payment. 2. The economy sucks, so if I am just waiting it out, why not wait it out there? 3. I will miss my family, but we can video chat everyday. 4. Currently, I work 10 hours, commute 3 hours, and feel like a drown when I get home and close the door by myself. The reasons not to go? 1. I have a job that could get me higher and higher if I am willing to stick with shady and evil bosses trying to mold me to be like them. 2. I will miss my family. 3. I will be putting my career on hold, having a low paying job and eating into savings. 4. I will have to sell my furniture and maybe car. But I can always buy new stuff. Ok.... I posted a message on craigslist to someone using theyre name,town and email address. Is that illegal? I had a ad running on craigslist selling an item. This person came to look at it,made an offer that i didnt accept. Two months later they send me a email calling me names such as greedy and weird. So, i posted a message to them with theyre name, town and email address on craigslist saying that theyre behavior is juvenile and hopefully the lord will bless them to become a better person and forgive them for theyre evil ways. They called me and sent me threatening emaisl after they saw the posting and said i broke the law, they have notified police, and that i better beef up security at my home because they're are alot of people that dont like me. Did i break the law in hawaii? I am scared with the threats they have made and have a young child in my home and would like to contact the police regarding this situation, but need to know if what i did was indeed illegal.

This guy lives in texas, wants to ship 7 computers out to me in hawaii, and he wants to send a certified check. My ex bf, him lying and doesnt want to be in our sons life, what can i do? I've had a hard time with telling my ex that i had his son. Someone from Craigslist is selling a roundtrip ticket on hawaiian airlines. Should I purchase it? I live in Hawaii and the seller is on the mainland. He claims to be a "independent travel broker". I have the confirmation # and its confirmed with the airlines. He wants me to go to walmart and send him cash through wire transfer. He does not accept any other methods of payment. Is there any risk involved in this? Could he somehow take the ticket back? The flight is scheduled on Hawaiian Airlines to depart in 3 days and the return flight is 5 days after that. Please explain why you think its a scam? Its all confirmed with the airlines. Is there anyway I could scammed? How? The ticket has been made in my name. But he placed the reservation. Is there any way to assure he wont refund himself the ticket?

Who wants to move to hawaii with me and save money on rent? I moving next September in 08 and want to have 1 or 2 people with me in the home/apartment. Are there any chinchilla breeders in Hawaii that sell? I recently bought a standard grey male at the new PETCO in Kapolei. I took him to the vet and she told me that he's in incredible shape and excellent health and she was amazed at how tame he was. I love my little guy, but I can tell he's lonely. He always makes the chinchilla call late at night - it's like a soft whimper the he does to call out to see if another chinchilla will answer. Moving to Oahu, where to go? I've been to Hawaii (hilo) and loved it, and experienced the city life on the mainland, so I thought I'd give the best of both worlds a try and set up near Honolulu. Where can I post something like this? We found a dog yesterday, and we took it to the HS here. She will be held there for 48 for owner hold, but after if no one claims her she may go up for adoption after she goes through health & temperament testing and such. Should I go to Australia with a stranger? I recieved and e-mail and a phone call from a woman claiming to be the former manager of a very high end wellness spa in hawaii. er family has moved to Australia and she wants to move there as well, and start up her own holistic wellness center, but she doesn't want to go alone. Should i do what i want to do? I need to get my life back in order. Nothing feels right at all, and i just feel like i need to do something or im going to continue going nowhere. But what i feel i need to do may very imprudent, or even very safe. I want to sell everything i have and move to Hawaii, and live in a van and live in the town of Kailua (google it, its the most beautiful place on earth). What do I do when I cannot afford my rent, already put applications for job #2, tried for more student loans? I am a student at Hawaii Pacific University, and live in off-campus housing with $750 rent. I have a job, but they have been cutting hours back a lot lately. I cannot borrow from family and friends, and I tried looking for another place to stay. Most of them are even more expensive. My cat ran away, any chance he'll come back? My one year old cat, Miles, never came home Monday night. He's been going outside during the day and coming in at night for the past month. I have 4 dogs and got a new puppy and a kitten about 2 weeks ago. The kitten was the first cat he's seen in almost a year, they got along fine, always playing. He's not neutered and very used to the dogs, I live in Hawaii (so not many wild, cat eating animals) and the area I live in has a lot of bushes and forest type trees. Do you feel safe leaving your child with a babysitter you hardly know? I have a 10 week old and I live in Hawaii where I have NO friends or family (my husband is in the military). He is currently in Virginia for some training and we're supposed to be moving in June. He left me here to take care of EVERYTHING. Advice for out of state job searching? In may I'm graduating from massage therapy school and I would live to get a job in Hawaii. Well at the "last minute" b4 there lease was up, she landed a pretty good PT job, 2 wks. ago. THen their car broke down, so traded it in for a $18,000. car {!?!?!}{not sure of monthly payments for that 1} She said "they couldn't afford to have somebody move their large couch outta their apt. I tried to talk sense into her because she was basically letting go of 850-1000 bucks security. Today was their last day there and had to be out. She always calls me "money bags" because I've made the effort to save quite a bit of money being RESPONSIBLE, even though I only make 300$ per week. She's a nurse and makes much more than I. Yet she always says "their not rich". ANd she's always hitting me up for cash. Even though she usually pays me back, she still relies on me and no one else. She admitted it was "her own fault for getting into this situation, and didn't want to get into any financial debates w/me." Yet she feels awfully comfy just throwing caution to the wind, and crying the rescue blues to me. I have NO IDEA where she/they are right now. She's not responded to my messages on her cell phone. I did research on craigslist and left her all kinds of good deals and contacts for various choices to live at nearby. She never acts like she cares that she HURTS anyone around her when she pulls this type of stuff. My sister in Hawaii received a call from a debt collector for our Mother. {MOm lives in NE/sister in Hawaii!}{HOW did those ppl get my SISTER'S # ????} *Also she says to my sister sometimes, "She doesn't know why me and my husband haven't gotten a house yet." I believe it's because she plans to arrive on my doorstep someday when they're even older w/her drunk husband wanting/wishing/expecting me to allow them to live w/my husband and I. She knows we have a lot of cash saved, but it doesn't mean I "owe" her along with her alcoholic husband money and/or place to live. [long] Would you help someone who purposely dug a deep hole for themselves to climb out of? My Mother and her husband KNEW 6 months ahead of time that they wanted to move by the time their lease was up TODAY. She was working FT in Feb. the job ended, but she CHOSE to only work 6-12 hrs. per wk. after that, not actively looking for all that time for something better or additional. Her husband likes to smoke and drink all the time, tho his disability check is 2200$ per month. She gets retirement of 500$ per mo. {He hasn't worked in years since he got hurt}.
