What happened to Hilo Hattie? Back on July 27, I placed a web order with Hilo Hattie for some clothes. The next thing I knew, my credit card company was on the phone telling me my credit card had been used fraudulently somewhere in England. Hilo Hattie's web site went down around the same time and is still not back up. If you go to http://www.hilohattie.com/ they claim they're doing scheduled maintenance. This seems unlikely since they've been down for well over a week now. I just tried phoning them, and after about 15 minutes on hold, got sent to voice mail. So the web site is down and no one answers the phone. Does anyone know what's happened to Hilo Hattie? I just received a return phone call from Hilo Hattie. They're still in business, but they had a catastrophic computer crash. They are working on paper only at this point. (Ugh.) The person with whom I spoke seemed surprised to hear my credit card had been compromised, so perhaps it was just a coincidence. Anyway, thanks for the responses.

Can anyone tell me "Pineapple Pete"' of Hilo Hattie last name? There was a hawiian band called Hilo Hattie and there was an original member whose nickname was "Pineapple" Pete. I need to know his last name because that was my grandma's father and she just passed away. We need his name for the funeral. So if anyone can help me, please do! Thankyou

What are some of the less touristy things to do in oahu? i have three kids, ages 4, 9 and 16. what are some family friendly things to do that aren't touristy--you know, like waikiki and hilo hattie and luaus? thx! :)

I have a plumeria cutting (stick) that's about 3-4 years old. Can I still plant it? You know those packaged plumeria cuttings that you can get at Hawaiian gift shops like Hilo Hattie's? I've had one sitting in the closet for about 3-4 years. Should I not even bother trying to get it to root, or should I give it a try?

Pineapple Chocolate in Japan/Hawaii? When I was younger, I lived in Okinawa, Japan. We used to go to these malls, and I think it was a Hilo Hattie or a store like it that had samples of this chocolate that was a light yellow color, and it tasted like a mix of white chocolate and pineapple. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? I've Googled it, but can't seem to find the name of it. Thanks!

How to care for my Plumeria? In August of 2009, my Mom and I went to Hawaii on vacation. (I'm only 13, so don't get freaked out!) On our last day there, we went to Hilo Hattie's and bought Plumeria cuttings. We brought them home, followed all the instructions, and they did take root and grow little buds. On one plant, a large leaf has opened and is around 4 inches long and 2 inches in width. It's now November, and I'm wondering if perhaps the should have a bit more growth them they're showing. We don't fertilize them, but we water them when the soil gets dry and mist them everyday. But lately, we've began to notice white mold growing on the pot. We never see the pot drain, but we figure that they just soak it up because they're thirsty. We put rocks on the bottom for it to drain, but I really feel like we're doing something wrong. Help please?
