Is Kona or Hilo better for a 21 year old female living on her own?

I'm planning on moving to either Kona or Hilo, Hawaii for a job. Which location (Kona or Hilo) is better for a single 21 year old female? I will be living on my own.

1. I live on Oahu and it is WAYo crowded. I would say that Hilo is more of like the city and Kona is like the country side. I don't know which you would prefer but I would say Hilo. The only reason:the dreaded VOG. If you have asthma, it's bad if you have very bad asthma. Hilo side I guess would be better. Which ever you choose is your decision.
