Is Kona or Hilo better for a 21 year old female?

I was just offered a job in either Kona or Hilo, Hawaii. I'm 21 years old and would be moving there just by myself. I'm debating whether or not to take the job. Would either of these places be nice for a single, 21 year old female to live? Pros/Cons? Which place would be better for a young girl like myself?
