Are there independent tours available at the cruise ship port at Hilo, Hawaii?

We will be in Hilo from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and want to know if there will be independent tour guides at the dock or should we book our excursions online? Thanks.

1. Aloha! There will not necessarily be tour companies at the dock trying to get your business, but you do not have to book your excursion through the cruise ship if you don't wish to. I'd check the link below for some great activities at great prices, just make sure you are back before your ship departs!!
